French artist, Veronica Schmitt, was born in Paris where she completed a master degree in art at Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts. Formerly an illustrator and graphic designer, Veronica left her previous career to become a fine art painter when she moved to the United States. Veronica is now an accomplished artist and her work has been selected for various exhibitions in art galleries and solo shows. She has received numerous awards and her work has been published in several art magazines.
Veronica's artwork captures the natural beauty of everyday life. She invites the viewer to slow down and enjoy fleeting peaceful moments that celebrate color. Veronica creates a sense of mystery with her work as she invites the viewer to speculate about the stories that are being depicted.
Figures and urban landscapes are Veronica's main subjects, particularly those that often go unnoticed. Veronica's paintings are snapshots of life in which her eye is the voyeur of situations she encountered throughout her travels in Europe and United States.
